What is Financial Freedom?

Everyone is talking about financial freedom and it sounds so appealing. The two words alone are interesting enough, but when you put them together it is sure to attract attention – much like Brangelina. But what exactly is financial freedom?

Financial freedom is the freedom to decide exactly how you want to spend your money and time. You’ve already earned enough to live from the proceeds and your days and your earnings are now completely in your control.

When you have financial freedom, you avoid unproductive debt such as high interest credit cards because you’ve already learned the high cost of credit and that it inhibits your ability to be financially independent.

When you are financially free, you don’t have to spend time worrying about money because you have enough to meet your needs. You may not be wealthy, but what you have covers your necessities without depending on earnings.

Financially free people don’t think about money when they make choices because their decisions are made based upon what they want rather than what they can afford. If you have financial freedom, you have the cash to do what you want when you want to do it.

Finally, financially free people are not afraid to take reasonable risks. This does not mean gambling or investing in shaky stocks but you do need to step outside the box to attain the financial freedom you crave – so start stepping out today to see how far you can go!
