There are financial freedom discoveries to be learned from watching the growing trend of teen entrepreneurs. Instead of following the pragmatic paths of their elders who may still be looking to become financially free, savvy young people are seeking their own businesses to achieve their goals – and they are succeeding.
The National Association of the Self-Employed reports that over 65 percent of teens between 14 and 19 have an interest in starting their own business, while just half of the general public has the same goal. Having your own source of passive residual income is clearly a path toward financial freedom and teens have that dream in mind as they seek solutions for their future, while adults may still be plodding in place.
There are even programs that reward entrepreneurial kids between 6 and 21 for opening businesses, such as the Celebration for Young Entrepreneurs competition through the Young Americans Center. According to the vice president of these programs, C.J. Juleff, “Sometimes we, as adults, forget the capability to be creative and innovative.”
Whether you are a teen of adult searching for the right financial freedom discoveries, discipline and a solid business plan are the key elements to success. Having a goal and working every day to achieve it will give you the free time, extra money and financial independence you are seeking.
