Recently financial freedom for women is being achieved through careers in commercial real estate, a field formerly dominated by men. This unique business opportunity to attain financial freedom is also becoming an interesting, powerful career for women that is extremely lucrative.

Many women enter the field accidentally by working as property managers or realtors. However, once women found out how much money could be made in commercial real estate, they began to pursue it. Now that women are gaining a proven track record in the sale and handling of commercial real estate, they are even going purposely into the field for career satisfaction and financial independence. According to Irene Carroll, vice president and general manager of DMB Associate’s One Scottsdale development, “More and more, women are preparing themselves to enter real estate by gearing their education appropriately towards the discipline.”

The commercial real estate field is so profitable that Afton Carmien, managing director of asset services for CB Richard Ellis, states, “I’m highly encouraging my daughter in this business. For those in the business the past 20 years, it’s been a hard row to hoe.” Women do have their own personal skills and business savvy to take to the table when it comes to commercial real estate and being feminine seems to have become a major advantage in the field today.

Now that women have achieved success in commercial real estate, more are being drawn to this industry to attain financial freedom for women and gain a great sense of accomplishment.
